1. Choose a shooting style
First, decide what exactly you want:
- 💑 Romantic love story
- 👨👩👧👦 Family photo session
- 🧍♀ Individual portrait
- 👙 Beach or nude photography
- 🌆 City walk in the old town
Set the mood in advance: light, relaxed, romantic, bright, etc.
This will help you choose the right locations and image.
2. What to wear for a photo shoot
Phuket has bright light, green nature, and warm sun. Clothing should complement the background, not blend in.
I recommend it:
- Solid colors: white, beige, pastel, terracotta, olive
- Loose dresses, shirts, flowing fabrics
- For the beach — swimsuits, pareos, hats
- For men — shirts, shorts, minimalism
Avoid:
- Small print
- Bright acidic shades
- Clothes with large logos
👉 If you want, I can help you choose clothes for a specific location (beach, old town, jungle, etc.)
3. The best time for shooting
Phuket has very bright sunshine, especially between 10am and 3pm. The ideal time for shooting is morning (7am–9:30am) or sunset (4:30pm–6:30pm).
☀️ In the morning the light is soft and cool.
🌅 At sunset there is a beautiful color temperature and deep shadows, but it is hot.
4. What to take with you
Often people forget the little things they need—it’s better to prepare them in advance:
- Water
- Cosmetic bag (blotting paper, comb, lip gloss)
- Change of clothes (if you need 2 looks)
- Glasses, accessories, hat
- A towel/kerchief if you will be sitting or lying on the sand
- Repellent and sunscreen (for morning shoots)
5. Makeup and hairstyling
📌 Makeup for a photo shoot should be a little heavier than usual, especially in hot climates. A matte foundation, blush, natural eyebrows, and an emphasis on the eyes are best. Lipsticks and glosses should preferably be nude shades or match the mood of the shoot.
📌 Styling — don’t make it too complicated. Hair can quickly “fall” due to humidity. Natural waves, a bun, or a ponytail are all excellent choices.
💡 There are stylists with whom I work — I can recommend them if necessary.
6. The main thing is to relax
A good photo shoot is not about poses, but about mood. I will help with posing, lighting, composition — all that is needed from you is trust and a willingness to be yourself.
Phuket isn’t just a backdrop, it’s energy. And my goal is to capture your natural light against this backdrop of beauty.
